MAHLE chargeBIG wins the readers' choice "Best Brand" by auto motor und sport

chargeBIG has been awarded "Best Brand" by readers of the trade magazine auto motor und sport in the "BEST CARS 2026" poll. In the "Wallbox Provider" category, chargeBIG achieved the top position. "This first place is particularly significant for us because it sends a clear signal about our company's growing role as a provider of e-mobility solutions," says Dr. Matthias Kreimeier, Managing Director of MAHLE chargeBIG.

The smallBOX from MAHLE chargeBIG is a compact wallbox whose functionality is made possible by the central chargeCLUSTER charging distributor, which houses all essential electronic components. This approach ensures simple and quick commissioning as well as reduced installation and maintenance costs. The integrated load management system makes maximum use of the available power connection without overloading the grid.

The smallBOX is available starting from four charging points and can be flexibly expanded to an unlimited number, thus meeting virtually every customer need. With a charging capacity of up to 22 kilowatts, electric vehicles can be fully charged within three to four hours. The chargeBIG smallBOX also features dynamic load management and enables legally compliant billing via its own app. Furthermore, chargeBIG charging points are eRoaming-enabled, allowing the charging process to be conveniently started using the preferred charging app.

The "BEST CARS" reader poll, which includes the "Best Brand" award, is one of the most established brand surveys in the automotive sector. Nearly 95,000 readers participated in the 2026 edition, voting in 28 categories for what they considered the best brands. The poll doesn't evaluate a specific product, but rather the company's perception and brand strength within each category. The results are thus considered a direct vote from the market, and a place on the winner's podium is a special recognition from consumers.
