MAHLE chargeBIG is presenting a charging terminal at this year's Power2Drive that can simultaneously supply up to four electric vehicles with 22 kilowatts (kW) of alternating current (AC) charging power each. This new development was created in cooperation with Langmatz Energy, a leading provider of infrastructure and enclosure solutions. The charging terminal combines payment functionality and charging points in a single housing – this compact design is ideal for parking operators, municipalities, and businesses. Furthermore, the new "leasing" and "hire purchase" financing models make the decision to electrify easier. In addition, chargeBIG is presenting its smallBOX PORTABLE mobile charging solution, which now features an integrated card reader for legally compliant on-site billing. The international trade fair for charging infrastructure and electromobility takes place from June 23 to 25, 2026, at the Munich Trade Fair Center. The booth is located in Hall C6, Stand 320.

“Charging must be as easy as refueling – regardless of location. Whether for parking spaces of vehicle fleets, public and company parking lots or temporary construction sites – with our further developed product portfolio, we deliver the right, intelligent charging solution for every application,” said Dr. Matthias Kreimeier, Managing Director of MAHLE chargeBIG.

Langmatz Energy supplies a specially developed outdoor housing for the new charging terminal, optimally tailored to chargeBIG's dynamic, grid-relieving AC charging technology. This results in a high-performance, cost-effective overall system, particularly suitable for use in public spaces. The modular design and sophisticated system architecture enable easy installation, quick maintenance, and high serviceability for electrical contractors. Thanks to the integrated design, no additional pedestals are required. This saves space and allows for seamless integration into existing parking structures. An integrated payment function at the terminal also allows end customers to easily pay via RFID charging card or credit card.

Electrification made easy: Attractive financing instead of high investment

Together with BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions, chargeBIG now offers two flexible financing models for building charging infrastructure – without high initial investments. With leasing, customers benefit from predictable monthly payments that conserve liquidity and create financial flexibility. At the same time, the high degree of flexibility throughout the entire term ensures quick and needs-based decisions. Hire purchase also offers predictable payments and avoids large upfront investments, while companies can simultaneously benefit from tax depreciation options. Furthermore, at the end of the term, the charging infrastructure becomes the property of the customer and can be held as a fixed asset long-term.

Both models facilitate the needs-based expansion of charging infrastructure, especially for larger projects. Practical examples also show that the investment can pay for itself through ongoing revenue even with moderate utilization. This is a crucial advantage for the accelerated electrification of parking areas and company premises.

Mobile charging power without permanent installation

The smallBOX PORTABLE mobile charging solution is housed in a compact yet robust casing. This provides comprehensive protection against external environmental influences and allows it to be used in a wide operating temperature range from -25 to +55 °C. Particularly suitable for construction sites, events, or temporary charging parks, the solution offers maximum flexibility with four charging points, each with a power output of up to 22 kW – all without permanent installation. In addition to billing via the integrated card reader, the charging points can also be activated via QR code using the chargeBIG app.
